Colin R. Wilson, CPT
Colin graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland with a Bachelors of Science in Fitness Development in the field of Kinesiology and is now an adjunct faculty professor at SUNY Cortland. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer through AAFA. During his time as an undergraduate, Colin worked as a group exercise instructor, a personal trainer, fitness facility supervisor as well as instructor. He completed an internship at an elite Mixed Martial Arts facility called Fusion Mixed Martial Arts as their Strength and Conditioning Coach. There he led Fusion KickFit group exercise classes, worked individually with the fighters, and held weekly group strength and conditioning workouts for the fighters. He was also in charge of writing the weekly newsletters on “fitness for MMA.”
Colin has a plethora of real world athletic experience as well. He has played varsity soccer, as well as played for numerous club and select teams up and down the East Coast, he has trained and competed in Mixed Martial Arts, competed in CrossFit competitions, and has run several obstacle course/adventure races. It’s this diverse background of experiences that helps Colin understand and adapt to whatever goals his clients have in mind. With a well rounded knowledge of the most cutting edge training styles and techniques, and always seeking out the next big thing, he offers a multitude of opportunities to his clients and readers.
